1. Can’t Charge My Kindle

  • The first thing that you need to check is the faulty charging cable as USB cables become damaged due to overuse.
  • The next step is to check for the faulty charging plug if the USB cable is fine.
  • Restart your Kindle app again after turning off the power button. Firstly, do the soft reset by closing all the applications and charge the device overnight. In case, a soft reset fails, do a hard reset in which you have to hold the power button for at least 40-45 seconds.
  • Verify the charging port as well as all the connections established by you between the Kindle and the cable.
  • To fix the charging issue, pull the USB cable out and put it back in the same place.
  • Still, the Kindle does not start charging then it means that the battery is dead.

 

2. Unable to Connect Kindle to WiFi

  • Firstly, make sure that your device is not in Airplane mode and you do not disabled the WiFi mode.
  • If you have entered the wrong password several times then your WiFi connection will not let you access anymore. In this case, go to the WiFi connection settings and select the forget connection. After this, you will be able to connect again after entering the correct password.
  • Reset your Kindle so that it functions again properly.
  • Try to reset your router device to its default settings.
  •  Connect your Kindle to some other WiFi connection. In case, it works then it means you need to fix your local WiFi network.
  • Ensure that you are using the latest software version of your Kindle Paperwhite.

 

3. Won’t Turn On Kindle Paperwhite

  • Try to do a soft reset by holding the power button for 5 to 7 seconds and then release it. If it works then your Kindle Paperwhite works again.
  • If a soft reset doesn’t work, go for a hard reset in which you have to hold the power button for 40 seconds. If the screen flashes then it means Kindle will come back to work again.
  • Leave Kindle Paperwhite plugged in for overnight charging. If it makes the Kindle work again then it means there is an issue with your electronic device.
